May is here, and we’re wondering how almost made it halfway through the year already! The days are longer and some much welcomed sun has arrived. Get outside and make the most of Bristol this spring. Here’s a look into some of the exciting events coming up this month:

Bristol Walk Fest

1st May – 31st May

What a way to get outdoors then a dedicated walking festival! The annual event showcases the best of Bristol for everyone to enjoy. There are plenty of walks taking place across the city of people of all ages, interests and albitites over the month of May.

DIASPORA!

3rd May – 6th May

A vibrant showcase of people, music, film, poetry, dance, storytelling, and beyond, unfolding at various venues throughout the city during the early May bank holiday weekend.

Badminton Horse Trials 2024

8th May – 12th May

The Badminton Horse Trials is a five-day horse-competing event. It takes place in May each year in the park of Badminton House, the seat of the Duke of Beaufort in South Gloucestershire, England.

CrimeFest

9th May – 12th May

CrimeFest draws top crime novelists, readers, editors and publishers from around the world and delegates the opportunity to celebrate the genre in a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.

Mayfest

17th May – 26th May

Bristol’s International festival of contemporary theatre and live performances is coming back to the city this May. Get involved in various performances around Bristol.

UpFest

18th May – 2nd June

There are lots of festivals heading to Bristol this month, including the brilliant Upfest! Upfest presents and 18 day cultural programme, featuring live painting, artist talks, arts activities, panel discussions and more.

Dot to Dot Festival

25th May – 26th May

Dot to Dot Festival is an annual music festival held at various venues in Nottingham, Bristol and Manchester. It’s heading to Bristol in May over the late Spring bank holiday weekend.

Love Saves The Day

25th May – 26th May

…and finally, Love Saves the Day! The same weekend as Dot to Dot, you’re in for a lovely long bank holiday weekend full of great music. The Bristol-born festival showcases a diverse range of genre and music styles, so there is something for everyone!
